Sooner or later (generally 15 to 20 years), the time comes when replacement is necessary. Any of the following can be indications that it’s time to think about replacing your air conditioner:
- Unit becoming unreliable (insufficient and / or uneven cooling)
- High energy bills
- Unit failure
- Only warm air coming from the vents
- Weird sounds and unpleasant odors
- Cycling on and off constantly
